University of Technology of Compiegne and Pierre and Marie Curie University are the members of Sorbonne-Universités. Jérôme Favergon is the assistant professor of Materials Chemistry in Roberval Laboratory of University of Technology of Compiegne. Stéphane Zaleski is the director of Institute of Machinery, Acoustics and Energy of Pierre and Marie Curie University. On March 14th, a team led by them visited the School of Energy Science and Engineering at HIT. Zhao Guangbo, the President, Li Bingzhao, the Vice President, Wang Hongjie, the Vice President and Yuanying, the Deputy Party Secretary of the school met with them. Professor Jérôme Favergon and Stéphane Zaleskis delivered a fascinating speech introducing their research fields as well as the overall situation and culture of universities. Then they answered the questions from teachers and students. After the lecture, leaders and some experts of the school held a meeting with the two professors. Mr. Zhao gave warm welcome to the guests for their visiting and introduced school’s situation, disciplines as well as research fields. Finally, he expressed hopes to promote the research cooperation and talents exchanges between universities in France and HIT, and the School of Energy Science and Engineering as well. Later, the two sides exchanged views on the cooperative research direction and talents’ training methods which are of interest to both sides.
