A delegation from Harbin Urban Development Investment Group Visits School of Energy Science and Engineering

On July 15, 2025, a delegation led by Lü Hongfeng, General Manager of Harbin Urban Development Investment Group (hereinafter referred to as HUDG), visited the School of Energy Science and Engineering. The two sides held in-depth discussions on topics including the development of urban new energy, optimization of energy structure, and the construction of demonstration projects. Attending the meeting were Gao Jianmin, Dean of the School of Energy; Zhao Yijun, Party Committee Secretary; Li Wei, Deputy Party Committee Secretary; and Sun Fei, Deputy Director of the National Innovation Platform for Integration of Industry and Education in Energy Storage Technology.

Lü Hongfeng introduced HUDG’s application scenarios and technological needs in the field of urban new energy, emphasizing the development direction of transitioning urban operations to new energy sources. He expressed the hope of establishing a long-term cooperation mechanism with the School of Energy to jointly create demonstrative application scenarios, promote the optimization and upgrading of Harbin’s energy structure, and contribute to the construction of a green, low-carbon city.

Gao Jianmin presented the School’s research achievements and future development plans in areas such as energy storage technology and clean energy. He highlighted the significant advantages of the School of Energy in new energy technology R&D and talent cultivation, and expressed his expectation to deepen cooperation with HUDG in urban energy infrastructure construction and integrated building energy systems. Such collaboration would facilitate the transformation of research outcomes into practical applications and support high-quality urban development.

During the meeting, both sides engaged in thorough exchanges on issues including urban energy infrastructure development and the transition of urban operations to new energy sources. They reached consensus on technical cooperation and the implementation of demonstration projects. Participants agreed to fully leverage their respective strengths to accelerate the promotion and application of new technologies and processes, creating replicable and scalable demonstration cases that contribute to the high-quality development of Harbin’s urban construction.

The meeting was also attended by representatives from HUDG’s Quality, Safety and Technological Innovation Department, Construction Management Department, as well as relevant subsidiaries including Development Group, Property Group, Urban Redevelopment Company, Industrial Investment Company, and Municipal Design Institute. Faculty members from the School of Energy also participated in the discussion.
