HIT International Training Program on New Energy Technologies and Innovative Upgrading 2026 Successfully Opens

On the morning of May 18, 2026, the Opening Ceremony of the International Training Course on New Energy Technologies and Innovation Upgrading, jointly organized by the School of Energy Science and Engineering and the College of International Education of Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT), was held in Conference Room J312 of the Energy Saving Building.

This training course is supported by the Developing Country Technical Training Program of the Ministry of Science and Technology of China. It aims to promote global energy transition, strengthen South-South cooperation, and build a comprehensive, multi-level, and multi-dimensional international cooperation framework for new energy technologies. The course focuses on China's mature technologies and rich practical experience in photovoltaic technology, hydropower, and energy storage systems. Key topics include high-efficiency module manufacturing processes, intelligent operation and maintenance management systems, and grid integration technologies. The program is designed to help Belt and Road countries cultivate local professional technical talents and establish independent and controllable new energy technology and industrial systems.

The opening ceremony was hosted by Professor Han Lei from the School of Energy Science and Engineering. Professor Qi Hong, Vice Dean of the School, delivered the welcome remarks. Dean Zhao Yixiao of the College of International Education addressed the audience. Professor Han Lei gave an introduction to the School of Energy Science and Engineering, and Associate Professor Li Lifeng, the teacher representative, also delivered a speech. Participating trainees from countries including Russia, Kazakhstan, Pakistan, the United Kingdom, Uzbekistan, Ghana, and Ethiopia introduced themselves one by one, followed by a Q&A and discussion session on topics such as new energy technology development and course arrangements. The ceremony concluded successfully with a group photo.

The training course will last for two weeks, from May 18 to June 1, 2026, and has enrolled 20 technical professionals from universities and enterprises across different countries.

Harbin Institute of Technology will continue to leverage its strengths in scientific research and education in the field of new energy, deepen international exchanges and cooperation, and contribute Chinese wisdom and strength to the sustainable development of global energy.
