On March 25, 2025, Elsevier released the 2024 list of Highly Cited Chinese Researchers. A total of 6,388 scholars were named to the list, representing 547 universities, enterprises, and research institutions. Among them, three faculty members from the School of Energy Science and Engineering at Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT) were honored with this distinction.
