School of Energy Hosts the 2024 International Conference on Industry-Academia-Research Collaboration

On November 5, 2024, The Low-Carbon Energy and Energy Storage Technology Sub-Forum of the 2024 International Industry-University-Research-Application Cooperation Conference (Harbin) was held in Room 201 of the Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT) Activity Center. The event was co-hosted by the Heilongjiang Provincial Department of Education and Harbin Institute of Technology and jointly organized by HIT’s School of Energy Science and Engineering, the National Energy Storage Technology Industry-Education Integration Innovation Platform, and the Energy Storage Committee of the Chinese Society of Power Engineering. The forum brought together over 120 experts, scholars, and students from Academia and Industry, including Professor Cheng Yonghong from Xi’an Jiaotong University, Senior Engineer Xie Min from Harbin Electric Group, Deputy Director of HIT's International Cooperation Division Shen Chao, Party Secretary of the School of Energy Science and Engineering Zhao Yijun, and Dean of the School of Energy Science and Engineering Gao Jianmin. The meeting was chaired by Professor Sun Fei, Deputy Director of HIT’s National Energy Storage Technology Industry-Education Integration Innovation Platform.

At the opening ceremony, Prof. Shen Chao delivered a welcome speech, warmly greeting all attending experts and scholars. He expressed the hope of working together to drive progress in energy storage and energy-saving technologies and to jointly create a green and sustainable energy future. Keynote speakers included Victor Kudyarlov from Tomsk Polytechnic University (Russia), He Guangli from China Energy Investment Corporation, a professor from Moscow Aviation Institute, Professor Cheng Yonghong from Xi’an Jiaotong University, Professor Wu Wei from City University of Hong Kong, Professor Wang Jiajun from HIT, Professor Pavel Troshin from the HIT Zhengzhou Research Institute, Professor Sun Qie from Shandong University, and Senior Engineer Xie Min from Harbin Electric Group. The presentations focused on areas such as the Development of hydrogen production via water electrolysis, Electrochemical energy storage technologies for cold regions, and Advances in absorption-based energy storage technologies. After the presentations, participants actively engaged in interactive discussions with the experts on academic hot topics and industry trends in the field of energy storage, sharing new insights and ideas for technological advancement.
