School of Energy Science and Engineering Hosts "Powering the Future, Intelligently Commanding the Skies" Teacher-Student Exchange Forum on Drone Technology

2025-09-10 65

Recently, the School of Energy Science and Engineering at Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT) hosted the Powering the Future, Intelligently Commanding the Skies Teacher-Student Exchange Forum on Drone Technology at Room 123, the Sports and Arts Center of its Second Campus. The event featured thematic reports, technical demonstrations, and interactive exchanges, collectively exploring cutting-edge drone technologies and new pathways for career development. The forum was organized by HIT’s New Energy Drone Innovation Club.

Professor Qin Jiang, a national-level high-tier talent and doctoral supervisor, delivered a keynote report titled Academic and Career Planning in the Era of AI+, Carbon Neutrality, and Aerospace Advancement. The report analyzed evolving talent demands in light of three major trends—artificial intelligence innovation, carbon neutrality goals, and the rapid development of the aerospace industry—offering forward-looking career advice to faculty and students.

Kou Dehua, an undergraduate student in Energy and Power Engineering, and Tan Xiaoge, a doctoral candidate, served as student representatives and delivered insightful presentations on the categories of drones, technical pathways, and the power systems of new energy drones. Their contributions highlighted HIT’s technical expertise and research capabilities in long-endurance drone technology. The forum also included a live demonstration session, allowing participants to engage up close with the entire process of drone disassembly, assembly, power debugging, and outdoor test flights. Students expressed that the combination of theory and practice not only deepened their understanding of specialized technology but also clarified their career aspirations in the field of drone development.
