High-temperature coupled heat transfer and photo-thermal parameter measurement are pivotal in the thermal protection for high-speed aircraft, efficient utilization for solar and nuclear energy, thermal management for cabins with extreme environment, and high-precision infrared detection. Key research efforts include: high-temperature thermal radiation and coupled heat transfer mechanisms, spectral and thermophysical properties measurement for functional materials, advanced thermal protection and management technologies, efficient solar energy conversion and utilization, as well as infrared information transmission and regulation. We have established advanced analysis methods for high-temperature energy transfer and conversion in micro/nano porous materials. Multiple experimental setups for high-temperature photo-thermal properties have been independently designed and constructed. Furthermore, broadband dielectric function measurement and inversion method has been built, accompanied by a specialized database for thermal protection materials. Various spectrally selective thermal control coatings and radiative thermal protection materials have also been developed.
