Guests from KMUTNBE and Kasetsart University visited School of Energy Science and Engineering

Thanks to the invitation from Prof. Jian Wu of School of Energy Science and Engineering in our university, Associate Professor Ekachai Juntasaro, from King Mongkut's University of Technology North Bangkok (KMUTNBE), and his wife, Associate Professor Varangrat Juntasaro, from Kasetsart University, paid a visit to our school from May 13, 2018 to May 26, 2018. During their visit, the two scholars visited Lab of Electrohydrodynamics, Complex Flow and Heat Transfer Lab (CFHTL) and the history museum of our university. Meanwhile, the two scholars had a profound discussion with Prof. Wu and Post-doctor Kang Luo in terms of matters such as scientific co-operation, joint education program and so on. In addition, Dr. Ekachai gave a wonderful academic presentation, introducing some major research areas their team is working on in recent years and the thoughts about carrying out co-operative projects with ProfWu.

During the visit, the two guests met with Zhenhui Tian, Party Secretary of our school, and Yong Shuai, Associate Dean of our school. Secretary Tian introduced the basic information of our university and our school and presented souvenirs on the behalf of our school. Secretary Tian mentioned the development of the Belt and Road Initiative our country has been advocating since 2013, in which Thailand is an important stop, and therefore HIT has the responsibility and willingness to enhance the communication and co-operation with the colleges and universities in Thailand. Dr. Ekachai introduced Secretary Tian the basic inforamtion of King Mongkut's University of Technology North Bangkok (KMUTNBE) and The Sirindhorn International Thai-German Graduate School of Engineering (TGGS) which he is in. He pointed out particularly that their school’s name is awarded by Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn, who is an Honorary Professor of HIT and has visited HIT multiple times.

After the visit, Dr.Ekachai and Prof. Wu signed the memorandum of understanding (MOU) on the behalf of their own schools, planning to enhance the official co-operation between the two schools in education and scientific research. Under the framework of the agreement, one of the graduate students from the Sirindhorn International Thai-German Graduate School of Engineering will be finishing his graduation project in School of Energy Science and Engineering in HIT from this September.
